In Army of Ghosts, the Doctor smashed up a glass chart with the sonic, so I thought he was going to do that. They'll do that next week, though, since they did need a dramatic cliffhanger, now. :D

But as Donna said in the "Christmas Invasion": "An axe is an axe". Deadlocked or not, it's still only a car window! Smash the thing! LOL

One thing I don't understand is why the Doctor threw that alien nanny's sonic pen in the bin, when having both meant he could get past the deadlock... I get the feeling that sonic pen is going to come back some time, or else why would they have been so obvious about what he did with it...

The sonic pen would only have worked for the Adipose Industries deadlocks. The Sontarans use a completely different set of deadlocks. :D

yeah...Donna seems to be able to come up with the sensible soloution while the Doctor is too preoccupied trying to be clever. lol!
